Activities

Thirdly, you can then taxi back to the marina or over to Medano Beach and order some lunch at the Office or Cache Club. There are many restaurants to choose from.

Do you enjoy water sports? Water sports such as Sea-Doos, Paddle Boards, kyacks, and Hobie Cats are available rentals. If you feel ambitious you can even try Flyboarding.

When you visit Palmilla beach you will expect to see a mix of local families as well as tourists enjoying time together.

I have spent many weekend afternoons at Palmilla Beach soaking up the sun. See me below.

If you are like me you will enjoy the snorkelling to the right of the rocks. Some of these rocks provide good exploring as well.

Rentals are available for those of you that like to paddle board as well as Panga’s for you fishermen. You can also launch your own kayak.

If your lucky you may be able to pick up some freshly caught fish from the local fisherman right off the beach. It doesn’t get better than that!

The beach is usually not crowded and the grounds are beautiful and the beach is kept clean.

You may be wondering if the city has provided services yet? Well you are in luck as they have and the services include restrooms, change rooms and life guards, however they are not always on duty. There is plenty of parking.

You will see very few vendors at Palmilla Beach so pack a picnic basket or cooler full of eats and refreshments.

I did have a vendor one time offer to sell me ceviche but other than him I haven’t seen many food vendor or vendors of any sort.

I like to keep out of the sun during the hottest hours of the day. I encourage you to bring unbrellas for shade. You will see a few palapa’s to be had but they go quick. So you should plan to get there early if you want one or better yet bring your own. Better to be safe then sorry.

The water is calm and warm however, watch for the surf. It will show up to please the more advanced surfers. Boogie boards are also fun to ride at Palmilla beach.
